Fouloscopies

Technique: mixed media on canvas and wood
Exhibition available in 2 formats for outdoor use and 1 format for indoor use.

"Julien Wolf's Fouloscopies translate the madness of crowds through gesture and movement. They are organized into small groups, composed of individuals in their raw state, given over to revolutionary violence.
(…)
Julien Wolf's canvases are filled with an animal breath (they give off a scent of peasant revolt) and the flayed are stripped of all decadent superficiality: while the Anthropocene collapses, human beings are beginning a return to their Fauvist roots. The painter's touch tears our most primitive, reptilian instincts from reality. It lacerates with color and returns to the origin of the world: ordo ab chao, order from chaos.
(…)
Julien Wolf's painting is an ode to life, to all possible encounters. For his monsters are only masks, showing their teeth in a devilish smile. At the gates of abstraction, in the space inhabited by his creatures alone, Julien Wolf touches the sublime of the human soul. in the state of nature.
