Advice
Depending on your interests or desires, you should find something to suit you among the many exhibitions offered on Arterritoires... and if not, don't worry, we're here to help!
Because we can also:
• Advise you on the choice of works and series offered by artists (this is free of charge!).
• Work on developing themed exhibitions in line with your cultural and events calendar (quote available).
• Organize a local cultural event aimed at setting up a guided tour of several exhibitions (quote available).
Organizing an exhibition is good... Organizing them regularly is even better!
So why not try to put one on every semester? Every quarter? Every month? Discounts are available for three or more exhibitions! Over time, your audience will become more familiar with contemporary art and will welcome each new event with growing curiosity and enthusiasm ;-)
It is also possible to organize exhibitions simultaneously, and in several locations. This was the choice made by the municipality of Cluny (Saône-et-Loire) during Heritage Days 2020.
Where possible, it is a good idea to coordinate an exhibition with local, regional, or national cultural or social events. The municipality of Wasselonne (Bas-Rhin, population 5,600) chose to hold its exhibition just before the Christmas holidays, while Genainville (Val d'Oise, population 540) took advantage of a farmers' market.
Now it's up to you to choose your occasion...
The success of an exhibition depends on many factors. Here are some important steps and decisions to help you achieve this. Once you have made certain choices, you can organize your reverse schedule.
• Set your exhibition dates so you can incorporate them into your schedule.
• Carefully choose your exhibition venues (see our Practical Information).
• Prepare a press release to distribute to the local media and on your social networks.
• Create a poster to distribute to local businesses and the tourist office (we have a template you can customize if you're interested ;-)
• Organize an opening reception or meetings involving schools, colleges, associations, seniors, etc.
Simultaneous poster campaigns can, for example, be an opportunity for an opening event and tour. To prepare for meetings and discussions, you will find links on each artist's page that allow you to supplement and enrich the presentation on display, familiarize yourself with their work, and even contact them to ask questions.
Absolutely! Most of our artists are happy to leave their workshops and meet their audience. Vernissages, workshops, and various other events are possible. Ask us for details.
You can move an exhibition within your municipality or your establishment to reach as many viewers as possible, at no additional cost.
However, if you wish to lend an exhibition to a neighboring municipality, partner administration, friendly association, etc., you must declare this in advance to Arterritoires. We will then provide you with a personalized quote that includes the additional copyright fees to be paid and a minimal contribution to administrative costs. N.B.: Copyright fees correspond to the remuneration of the artists presented by Arterritoires.
The lending of an exhibition is therefore only authorized in strict compliance with these rules. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this.
