“There is a double movement in picking.
That of detaching a berry, a flower or a twig and that of attaching oneself to a berry, a flower or a twig.
Gatherers, links in the great Chain of Life, we are also earth, compost, necromass*, anthrosol*, Terra Preta*, humanity hidden in the humus.
In the infinite cycle of life and death mingled, there is this unthought of the unique movement of life.
Annick Mischler - January 2021
* Necromass: mass of dead organic matter present in a given plot or ecosystem, playing a major role in the recycling of organic matter, and therefore in the texture, structure and fertility of soils (humus).
* Anthrosols: soils that have been formed or profoundly modified by human activities (addition of organic matter, household waste, irrigation, etc.)
* Terra Preta: "black earth" in Portuguese. A very rich type of anthrosol. Most "terra preta" were created between 800 and 500 BC, with the oldest dating back to 2800 BC. They are found worldwide, mainly along waterways.
Our prints are made to order using pigment inkjet printing. This technique gives our prints exceptional durability and incredible color reproduction.
Reproductions in A1 and A0 formats are printed on 180 gsm premium matte coated paper.
Fine art prints are made on two types of paper, at the artist's discretion:
• Canson Rag Photographique 210 gsm, an ultra-smooth paper.
OR
• Hahnemühle William Turner 190 gsm, a textured paper.
Both papers are 100% cotton, museum quality, acid-free and OBA-free (Optical Brighteners Agent), meeting the highest standards for conservation.
Our packaging is made from recycled materials.
