Hélène Duclos's work draws on a vocabulary of recurring forms to construct mysterious universes.
His works seem to depict characters - men, women, animals, sometimes all three at once - in landscapes that evoke ancestral creation myths.
The drawings and paintings invite us to imagine new stories resonating with pagan rituals and votive festivals, as well as with the folklore of our contemporary world.
