Pattara Chanruechachai

No colors in the air

Technique: charcoal on paper.
Exhibition available in several formats.

Through his documented and precise drawing, through his almost journalistic framing, Pattara Chanruechachai continues his work on the Apollo 11 mission and, in his series No colors in the air , evokes more broadly the American aerospace adventure...

The smell in the air after a firecracker has gone off , There's an elephant in the room , Glance left and right , Everything doesn't happen at once ...

Sensory reminder, poetic observation or friendly injunction, the titles that Pattara Chanruechachai gives to his exhibitions humorously invite spectators to take a step back, to question their perceptions, their memories, their beliefs. There is what is looked at and there are those who look (…) transforming with their gaze what is looked at…

This is also the case with No Colors in the Air: why would there be no colors in space? Because of the absence of light?
Isn't black a color? And if there are no colors in space, how come there are color images of space exploration?
