Flore-Aël Surun

Light Shaman

Technique: photography
Exhibition available in 2 formats for outdoor use and 1 format for indoor use.

In 2010, Flore-Aël Surun encountered shamanism.

In 2016, she joined the Circle of Wisdom of Ancestral Traditions: every year, to honor the prophecy of the Circle of Nations, shamans from around the world gather in France to bear witness to the universality of practices and the brotherhood of multiple traditions.

Agreeing to be revealed by the moving light of the photographer moving around them, these men and women, capable of dialoguing with the 10,000 Spirits, appear in all the power of their mystery.

Guaranteeing the order of the world and preserving the laws of interaction between the visible and of the invisible, shamans are among the last protectors of a planet that probably has never suffered so much in its entirety.

Through their daily practices, shamans honor and purify nature. They accompany helpless humanity in healing work and invite a global awakening before finally reclaiming our "power" and acting as responsible human beings.

The portraits are accompanied by texts advocating for the Earth.

Flore-Aël Surun

Flore-Aël Surun develops a unique body of work, in which she questions our presence in the world.

She asserts her commitment as a witness alongside those who choose non-violence as a means of resistance: she accompanies young people to the places of their political demands, walks with Tibetan Buddhists, and goes from Canadian shelters housing American deserters to the New Peace Village in Israel.
