Elisabeth Llach

Hystericalsammlung - Hysterical collection

Technique: acrylic on paper.
Exhibition available in several formats.

Elisabeth Llach has always collected images that pile up in boxes and tell, through their sedimentation, the story of her gaze and her obsessions.

For Elisabeth Llach, Hystericalsammlung is a way of trying to tame this accumulation, to transform it into a "hysterical collection", an alphabet of elements that can serve as a base for the more complex compositions to come.

The drawings blend eras and bodies. Women, men, and animals are captured without context, revealing only the beginnings of a movement, ready to disappear.
