Julien Mignot
Carte Blanche AZIMUT
At a very young age, Julien Mignot was catapulted into the backstage of fashion shows. His first reports were published in Elle and confirmed his vocation: even though he obtained a master's degree in geography, he would make photography his profession.
Julien Mignot began his career as a reporter, first for the French press and then for the international press. He gradually turned to portraiture and put his vision to work for record companies, creating the covers of numerous albums.

Today, Julien Mignot explores a wide range of areas, from the glitter of Cannes to voyeurism inspired by sexy webcams, to archives taken on film. For him, photography has no other virtue than that of opening up perspectives.
He is represented by the Galerie Intervalle, Paris. Collections of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the Musée Nicéphore Nièpce and the Leica Foundation.
