Joshua Goode was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1981. He graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Inspired as much by amateur archaeologists such as Heinrich Schliemann, who discovered the city of Troy, as by elaborate hoaxes such as Piltdown Man, Joshua Goode travels the world staging archaeological digs. His "artifacts" have been featured in solo exhibitions worldwide.
He has participated in residencies in Russia, Germany, Finland, Spain and was a researcher on an archaeological excavation for the University of Tübingen at Vogelherd Cave in Germany.
He received the Dozier Award from the Dallas Museum of Art and is currently the chair of the Fine Arts Department at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas.
