He is collaborating with the scientific community on a trilogy on the science of matter, which has been the subject of a series of monographic books including A Black Matter (Journal 2012) and The Fault (RVB Books, 2017). A final part on glaciology is currently in development.
Since 2015, Grégoire Eloy has been interested in our relationship with the environment and the wild. During immersive residencies, he paints portraits of the landscapes he explores on foot and in all weathers. Focusing on natural elements - rock, water, plants - he attempts through his images to reflect the physical experience he has of the islands of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (2016-18), the Georgian mountains (2018-20), the Perche forest (2020-21) and the foreshore of Finistère (2021).
Winner of the Reportage Talent Grant in 2004. Member of the Tendance Floue collective since 2016.
