Born in 1991, Clémentine Schneidermann is a French photographer living between Wales and France.
Winner of the prestigious Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award in 2016 for her series Heads of the Valley, which documents life in the Valleys of South Wales, Clémentine Schneidermann focuses on forgotten territories and communities, magnifying the ordinary while revealing its tender, silly, and somewhat dramatic sides...
She has published in the international press (The New Yorker, The Guardian, etc.) and has published a first monograph, I Called Her Lisa Marie (Chose Commune, 2018), about some rock'n'roll nostalgics and Elvis Presley. In 2020, "Sète#20" (Le bec en l'air, 2020) was published, about the city of Sète and the figure of George Brassens.
