From her birth in Papeete in 1979, her first trip, it seems that Anne Laval has retained the desire to go to sea and a certain taste for flamboyant colors.
Since graduating from HEAR (Haute École des Arts du Rhin) in Strasbourg, Anne has been drawing (and writing) books, posters, and series of images that are displayed in group or solo exhibitions.

Anne works with paint, colored pencils, pastels, screen printing, and risography*. She likes tools that leave stains on the hands and allow for surprises and accidents.
Nature is his main source of inspiration.
She loves exploding colors and what appears when you take the time to look.
Anne Laval draws for various press and publishing titles (Le Rouergue, Actes sud, Gallimard, Naïve, Bayard, The New Yorker, Télérama, la revue XXI).
Since 2005, she has led the creative experiment group Les Rhubarbus with Violaine Leroy, bringing together artists, illustrators and authors.
*Risography is a process originating in Japan that relies on a cold-press and stencil printing process, which is both economical and environmentally friendly. In Japanese, riso means ideal. Recent bibliography - The Navel of the World, Editions du Rouergue jeunesse
